How can you improve your posture ?

Posture is important. The way you stand affects the way people think of you. If you stand tall and straight, there’s a good chance people will think you are more confident.

But what if you struggle to sit or stand up straight? This can be a real problem, especially for people who sit at their computers all day. Sitting hunched over a computer actually weakens our torso and ab muscles, making the problem even worse.

Luckily, there’s something you can do to fix it.

What is it?

It is called a posture corrector brace. It’s a simple, inexpensive apparatus made of a few elastic strips that wrap around your shoulders and back. It forces you to keep your shoulders from rolling forward, which causes you to straighten your back. That may sound uncomfortable, but wearing the brace will actually make you feel more comfortable. It’s completely adjustable to fit your body and your posture needs. As your posture improves, you can adjust the brace accordingly.

Most posture corrector braces recommend wearing the brace for a minimum of 30 minutes a day and up to a maximum of 6 hours.

One of the things people worry about is: “Will people know I am wearing it?”. The answer is no! Posture corrector braces are very thin and hug your skin. Wearing clothes over the brace will completely hide it. You can even wear a bra with the brace.

How can it improve your life?

1. Improving your posture by wearing a posture corrector brace has a number of fantastic benefits.
You’ll feel and look skinnier and taller (and who doesn’t want that?). As a side benefit, you will feel much more confident.
2. Wearing a posture corrector brace will improve your breathing and oxygen intake. How? When you slouch (while sitting or standing) it can put stress on your lungs and decrease the amount of oxygen you can breathe in. Sit or stand up straight though, and you will be able to breathe more freely and take in more oxygen. And since our bodies run on oxygen, the more we can get, the better off we are.
3. Studies show that sitting, standing, or walking straight can give you more energy.

If you are reading this on your phone or on your computer, think about how you are sitting or standing right now. Are you slouching? If you are, even slightly, a posture corrector brace is a simple change you can make that will have a big impact on your life.
